Dan Wesson .22: This is a six-inch(Heavy barrel, with the vented rib)in about 98%+ condition! I don't have any other information, on this gun(Except, that there is no box-or, anything else, with the gun(It came from an "Estate"))!
1)Is this gun, as good(And, as reliable)as the S&W, K-22 Masterpiece?
2)Overall, how does the Dan Wesson .22, compare with the S&W, K-22 Masterpiece?
3)What do the "Forum" "Experts" think of the Dan Wesson .22(Please give, the good, the bad, or, the ugly(Whatever the case may be, regarding this gun?))?
4)If the Dan Wesson .22(Is recognized, as being a quality, revolver?)then, would the price of $250, be a reasonable price, for this gun? I don't know much, about Dan Wesson revolvers(Never had one before!)but, I do know, that this gun, that I saw, was in very nice condition(And, except for no box(Or, carrying case, is in near "Mint" condition))!
5)Please add anything else, about the Dan Wesson .22, that anyone might think of(Pro or, Con)? Thanks!

$250 is about the max. I would pay for one, and then I would want to determine the mfg. date to make sure it was not in the erratic quality era.
All things being equal DW's are good, but I think that the S&W is better ... but then Smith had a few years of lower quality under the "brits" so you have both sides of it.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!
Just a note: Make sure to check the cylinder gap before and after you tighten the barrel nut. Being off a few thousands will make it pattern like a shotgun instead of the precision revolver you have.

1)The Company(As stamped)is, Dan Wesson Arms.
2)Also stamped, Monson, MA.
3)The serial number is, #8725.
Questions:
1)Is this, one of the good(Or, bad?)Dan Wesson, made revolvers?
2)Based upon the serial number of #8725, can anyone tell me, when this gun was made?
3)Is this particular gun(As noted above)a "Worthwhile" Dan Wesson revolver, to buy(Or, not?)? Please comment(As I must make a decision soon-since the "Hold" will be removed, on this DW, on Monday, of this week!)?
4)Please list any other information, based upon the above gun data? Thanks!
2. No way to know for sure. All records turned over to BATFE during
bankruptcy hearings for 1st generation (Monson) and 2nd
generation (Palmer) guns
3. Your call. Fair not execeptional price. If you like it, get it.
4. Don't know what else to say[:I]
