The Colt King Cobra is a good gun.Expect to pay $400.00-- $500.00 depending on the condition and your area. Not the quality of a Python but less money.
    Good luck in finding one--[:)]

If you just want a .357 4/6 barrel, why focus on the King Cobra? It's a great gun, don't worry about that. There are many .357 wheel guns (i.e. Taurus Tracker) which are equal or near equal quality. I have both a King Cobra and a Taurus Tracker and I prefer shooting the Taurus by far.

Had a 4" stainless. Accurate and easy to control recoil wise with magnum ammo. I got rid of it because I wasn't wild about it's trigger or it's weight. If you don't want to spring for a Python look for an older (Pre-MKIII) Trooper. Same action as the Python, just a different barrel profile. Great shooters.

The Taurus is a fine weapon but its no where close to the King Cobra. Just pick one up and compare side by side and you will see. The King Cobra is the heaviest "mid frame .357" its even 1 oz heavier than a Ruger. I have owned a King Cobra for about 12 years ( 4" Stainless). Grab one and you won't look back.[:)]

Comparing a Taurus to a Colt is like comparing a Minivan to a Corvette. The Colt rules .
