You can never be too rich too thin aint that the way it goes? why did old Gaston Glock fall asleep at the wheel? Beretta is selling those X-carbines like hot cakes.. I love Berettas but the cabine didnt impress me all that much it was just OK, I think the Glock could have made a better model something on the lines of the MP5 H&K... the light weight and molded polymer could have been a snap... and if I was Gaston and with all the CCW people I would have made a super mini 380 Glock pistol also.....thats my 2cents............................BILLYBASS

Actually he wasn't and didn't. I read at least three years ago that there was supposed to be a Glock carbine in the works (long before the Beretta) what happened to the project, who knows.

the 380 cant be currently imported due to the low power of the 380 round the glock had to be redesigned as a blowback pistol. since it is an unlocked mechanism, it doesnt have enough importation points to be legal. there are a VERY limited number in the US, but good luck coming across them. they are the glock 25 and 28. forgot to mention that

mech tech has developed a upper carbine for the glock and the 1911 you might want to check it out

it's not the type of gun you have in the heat of a battle that counts, only if you have enough ammo for it, lets face it, a gun without ammo is only as good as a base ball bat!!

Maybe Glock just wants to keep their niche in the handgun world, and leave the long guns to others. There are stock and barrel kits out there that change the pistols over to carbine, and as mentioned above there are the MEC-TEC conversions. Then you have the Storms, Kel-Tec's, etc.

Me I have an old Marlin Camp-9 that uses the same magazines as my Smith 59. Good shooter, not designer and polymer, etc., etc., but serviceable.
