I would like some information on the Browning BBR that was made in 70's and early 80's. Is the BBR as good as A-Bolt? Why was the BBR discontinued, were there problems with the BBR? Any information will be grately appreciated.

anyone know where I can find a stock, preferably composite with a thumbhole for my BBR? I would take a classic if nothing else is available

    Hi,

New here and have been looking around for few days. Looks like a good bunch of people!

I need some info, any info about a Browning BBR 30-06.

From what I understand so far is this rifle was only made in the late 70's and early 80's. My neighbor is trying to sell a few guns and one of them is this Browning BBR. It's never been shot, out of the box new with a Redfield 2x 7x scope. He wants $550.00 for the rifle, scope, soft case and 20 rounds (Hansen Cartidge Company).

What do you guys think about the price?

I can't find much info about this rifle.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

According to the Blue Book of Gun Values, Vol. 27, P. 356, for 100%, 4500, 95%, $335, etc. They list 257 Roberts as one of calibers but they don't say if it rare or not. You have to be on the lookout for a salt wood problem with these rifles. I have one that is 25-06 and I really like it. No salt wood problem.

There is an error in my post, 100% should be $500.
