How do I know which other Remington rifles a barrel from a Model 722 will fit?
Will the barrel fit ONLY other Remington actions?
Can you tell I'm NOT a gun mechanic?*LOL*

I can tell you that I have had 2 other remington barrels placed in 722 actions. I used a gunsmith.

Hello The only barrels that I know that come prechambered are for a mauser 98 and savage 110 and like models because the savage have adjustable head space . also the sights if any most likely will not line up very few companies index the action so the threads start in the same place rotationally .

    wanted man,

You don't have to be a 'gun mechanic', you just need a copy of the Frank de Haas book Bolt Action Rifles.

The barrels from the Remington M722 will fit the models 700, 721, 722 and 725. The unfortunate part is that you will have to headspace the barrel depending on the action. Remington barrels will not be headspaced by just screwing them into an action.

    Best.
