S&W vs Colt New revolvers

Having studied both S&W and Colt revolvers I have come to the conclusion that S&W are better made than Colts. *Gasp* I know that most of you will state blasphemy, but hear me out. The reason I come to the conclusion is the cylinder hinge. The hinge on an S&W is locked into place by the cylinder pin and a spring in the front of the pin. Where as the Colt has just the cylinder pin. As the Colt ages it will become looser near the hinge causing the cylinder to be looser. I'm I correct?

If you want a bank vault strong, double-action revolver go with a Ruger. The modern designed GP & SP revolvers, make the Smiths & Colts look sad.

And if you want an accurate, well balanced gun with a smooth trigger you want a S&W or Colt. The lock up on both guns are plenty strong enough.

I collect both Colts and Smiths, mostly their revolvers. I agree that Smiths actions are smoother, but the lock-up on Colts is tighter due to their design and direction of the cylinder rotation.

If you take one of each and dry-fire it and hold the trigger back, you will find that the cylinder lock-up is tighter on Colts than Smiths.

    Smiths still have outstanding accuracy.
