GAP or ACP?

Can I shoot ACP through a GAP pistol? Probably a dumb question....

No, you can not. The Over all length to a GAP is 1.137 and a ACP is 1.17.
So does GAP suck as much as i've heard it does? I hear ammo is expensive and hard to find and it doesnt have the stopping power of ACP...
Not only is it expensive, it is being phased out. Many companies that produced guns in this caliber no longer offer it.
Many companies??
I thought it was a proprietary Glock cartridge.
Edit = I found out that Springfield Armory makes (made) the XD in this caliber also.
It was Glocks desire to be able to shoot a .45 cal bullet from their smaller frame gun which, as mentioned, may not have been a big problem to begin with.
Developing a new round to satisfy a small segment of shooters seems to me a big risk that may not pay off.
The ACP has been around for what, a hundred years? Its reliability is well-documented. It is readily-available. It is accurate, parts are VERY easy to come across for the gun and ammunition is about as available as 22-LR.
While I can appreciate different loads and calibers, IMO I'll almost always go with what's common.
I have um, "owner manuals" in 22LR, .223/5.56, 9mm, 44-mag, 45ACP, 20-gauge and 12-gauge. I don't worry about a store not having the ammunition I need and having it available at a reasonably-fair price.
If you have some real need for a GAP and don't see the purpose of an ACP, then by all means go with the GAP.
If you want life to be a little easier and not such a hassle when it comes to feeding your hobby, go with the ACP.
