Gun safe?

Has anybody looked at the stack-on elite safe? I was thinking about buying one.

    Stack-on did not make a 'safe' when I was in the market.

    The light duty Stack-On stuff that I did see was OK to keep kids out, but nothing close to serious protection.

    If they have a safe that meets the 30 minute fire rating, it is probably as good as the lower priced safes that meet the same standard.

    You get what you pay for in a gun safe, but it is possible to pay for more than you need. One thing for sure is that you will fill the safe up and need another, so don't go small.

    Also, if you have one, the wife will want to put 'precious videos, paperwork, etc.' in the safe. Go along because it is a good idea and it will justify getting the next one.
