FN/FAL do it yourself???

Hello, folks. Need a question. Since you guys, have been kind enough to reccomend an FN/FAL for me, I decided to check out the possibility of assembling the bloody thing myself.
Now, I do not have any experience in gunsmithing, other then taking care of my pistols and my M70 Yugo AK. FN/FAL, from what I hear is not very hard to put together. Does anyone knows where I can get a DETAILED instructions on how to do it and what tools do I need? (I do not have a blowtorch or a press). Enterprise.com FN/FALs are 900 bucks. Not too bad, but I would rather spend 450 and build it myself if it is not too hard.
If anyone has instructions or willing to provide assistance or advice for me, I would gladly appreciate it.
Thank you
T.

then click on the STORE button, then the Home Gunsmithing Videos and Workbooks and button.
And buy his DVD on how to do it.
A complete rifle will be cheaper, even if you already have all the tools needed to put one together.
Check teh auction side, and check the marketplace at falfiles.com. Be ready to buy when you see a deal. For example, a friend scored a G1 on a DCI reciever with 8 us parts, 2 sets of furniture, 3 mags, blank firing adapter, etc. for $800 including shipping. Reciever alone is $500, etc.
So, $240 for receiver, $250 for a kit, $100 for US parts.. Thats $600.
Is Enterprise arms a bad manufacturer?
Thanx
I don't want to discourage the intrepid do it yourselfer - hell, that's how I learned - but building a FAL yourself is quite a 1st time challenge. With knowledge & skill and correct parts you should be able to get to the stage of barrel to receiver assembly & setting headspace. I'd let a qualified FAL gunsmith do those parts.
I have a DSA STG 58 carbine. Great gun, I hope things turn out well for you - good luck.
FN/FAL receiver $500??? uhh, not to be rude, but I think you are wrong. Enterprise arms has a Type 3 metric receiver for $240.

Do not get an Enterprise, they are poor quality. To quote ARS:
"To insure customer satisfaction,ARS will only work with IMBEL (Brazil), DGFM-FMAP (Argentine), other licensed FN receivers, DSA , or NODAK Spud (Dan Coonan Industries). ARS will not work on the low quality products from Hesse/Vulcan Arms, Olympic Arms, Willams Arms Company, Entre'prise Arms, Century Arms International or DPMS."
I have had ARS build me 2 FALs on Imbels. They are great guns.

They have some step by step tutorials.
He did his own the next time; except for cutting the barrel and threading for a flashhider to make a carbine.
Check out the FAL Files

+1, and members can buy DSA receivers for a discount, if they have an FFL who will transfer.
