24 Winchester w/pics.

A couple of week's ago I mentioned I have a 24 Winchester possibly for sale. My concern is to accurately grade this gun. Several people on this board encouraged me to post pictures, it took a while to figure out how and the pictures probably are not the best quality. A number asked to have them sent to their email, however when I try that I get a message telling me this attachment can't be sent, must be the size. If possible could you help me grade this gun from the available pictures.
My thanks in advance.

Nice looking old gun[^]. Conservatively, I would call it an 85% condition gun.

It's really difficult to determine % of finish from good photos; yours are not well lit & they are too small. You will have to improve your photo skills if you hope to get top dollar. I have a write up describing posting photos that might help; send me an email.

I believe the basic problem you have is that all your photos are in a single image. You need to store each photo as a separate image on your computer; then, you need to upload each photo to your Photobucket album. Photos that you want to send as attachments can be resized on your computer to 640 x 480, or something close to that.
Each photo should be a separate attachment, although many mail programs will display all of them in the text area.

Hi Barrie: Well that's a pretty good looking Md 24 16ga. better than most that come up foresale/auction.

Using the green background on your photos is wise, you may want to reshoot the barrel pictures, doing so. You will want to get at least one picture, of the whole gun, one looking down on the receiver, showing the release lever, (hopefully right of center), and a good one of the barrel stampings including the proof marks.

When I did my history search for your other post, only one gun was as nice as yours. I would not be surprized to see that 16ga. sell somewhere from $475-$725. Again timing, and howmany are on the market when you try to sell will determine a lot.

    Regards Dave
