Winchester Model 1900

I recently got one of these, and know nothing about it, very little references on the net. It is a single shot, wood stock, smaller youth size rifle. The barrel is marked " Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company - Model 1900 etc. etc. etc. It is in pretty good shape for its age. I took some pictures and will figure out how to post them. Any info on this gun would be appreciated. Collectability, Value, etc. as I will likely sell or trade it.
Thanks, Rick

The Model 1900 was John M. Browning's first single-shot bolt-action rifle. It was short lived, and was quickly replaced by the updated (improved) Model 1902. Today, any surviving specimens is collectable, especially so if it is still 100% factory original. Somewhere in my stack of references, I have the specific production information for it, and will look it up later this evening.
As for the potential value, I will need to see several clear (close-up) pictures of it.

Your old Model 1900 is actually in "Good" condition -
"Good - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned or reblued; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; wood refinished, scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order."
As such, it is low on the collectability scale. Its value is in the $150 - $200 range.
Winchester manufactured approximately 105,000 Model 1900 rifles before being discontinued in 1902.
