What is a 1950's J.C. Higgin's, 12 gauge, bolt action shotgun with adjustable choke worth?

    It's worth a $50 Sears gift card.

If it's in decent shape,I'd pay 75.00 for one I think.Possibly more for a really nice one.

Need the Sears Mdl number. Reason for the $50 gift card comment, there were several models under a safety recall, and Sears will give you a $50 gift card for surrendering the bolt. Run a Google for "Sears shotgun recall". Maybe yours was recalled, maybe it won't.

Thanks for the welcome. It is not clipfed, bottom fed, and is in very good shape. Probably not had more than a case of shells fired in its whole life. I'll check the model # and post it today.

Yes , Welcome to G.B. , and get ready for all that follows here .....
Anyhow , as a gunsmith , these (most bolt action shotguns) are good wall hangers , unless in absolute perfect cond. I never will reccommend these as shooters , and even then (cond.?) its iffy ....
most are worn/damaged/just unsafe as is ...if/when we take them in on trade (seldom) , we consider them 'wallhangers' and or 'parts' . I dont even like 'smithing' on them ....
    Good Luck !!!
