switching barrels on 10/22

hi experts.is it possible for me to switch barrels on my 10/22 simply by unscrewing one and screwing the other one on?

Yes, I've built four heavy barrel 1022's. When you install the new bbl. tighten the screws equally then torque them.

No, it's been a while since I built one. What I did was used my torque wrench to loosen the screws and seen what the torque was and tightened to that.

Be certain to not over tighten them. You will break the barrel retainer, V-block. (part # B-66

If yo are going with a bull barrel you need to make sure that the barrel channel in your stock will fit the new barrel. Or you could just buy a new stock to go with the new barrel.

I think the torque specs are in the manual. I just made it "tight." Probably not the best idea...
