List you gun without a reserve. Folks are tired of that ploy.

Well , its not a ploy ! I need to recover my money , and cannot afford to take a "LOSS" , and if thats the case , please put up an equally valued item and I will bid $49.95 on it and you can sell it to me , I'll be happy and then you can try and explain to me the theory of conducting business while loosing money ???
    Thanks !!!

    Duck makes a good point.

A lot of folks (me included) won't even bid on a reserve auction; they are too often used by folks playing games. We just won't waste our time on them. The low starting price means nothing.

If $425 is what you must get out of it, make that your starting price. If that's more than someone is willing to pay, they won't bother bidding on it. Real customers WILL bid on it, unless, of course, they believe that your price is too high.

Reserve auctions are annoying to many people. I suggest that you do a no reserve auction and start the price at what you feel is your best price. That way there isn't any guessing games. If you start it at a reasonable price you may get several bids and you may only get one but one is all it will take. That is how I do my auctions and it has worked pretty well for me.

Start it at a few dollars under what you need to get out of it to get the interest started. Redhawks are not going very high though. I have a friend who really likes them in 44mag and he has bought 3 that I know of in the past month and a half for $375. and under.

Amen to no reserve & use start price instead.

    Do not use reserve.
Notice that items with a reserve don't sell.

Start it at your minimum selling price and see what happens?

You may have put too much in this one.

My 2?! You should have done your homework by checking the on-line auctions to see what used Redhawks were going for prior to getting involved with that trade. If you allowed more then 50% of the retail price on it unless it's a very hot in demand gun your fixing to take a bath.
