howdy.. question about necking up a 243 case to .25 calibre
if i use a 257 roberts neck sizer die to neck a 243 case.. will it deform the case or shoulder in the process ?.. i don't want to

    One is a 6x51mm and the other is a 6.4x57mm
    With out having the 2 in front of me, I'd hazard a guess that all you would accomplish is to expand the neck of the 243 case. It's unlikely that the 243 neck will even reach the "neck sizing" portion of the roberts die

    I'm assuming that your looking at making some 25 Souper cases?

    I use a Hornady Neck Sizing Die that works the neck only and has no body taper at all. They are NOT case specific. These are relatively inexpensive and if you do a lot of conversion work with cases, they come in real handy.

    Your .257 Roberts die is going to swage the shoulder of the .243 Win. case.

    Get the die and enjoy the process!
