IVE BEEN HAVEING PROBLEMS WITH A BROWNING BLR, AND THOUGHTS OF TRADING FOR A BROWNING AUTO. ARE THE AUTOS AS ACCURATE AS A BOLT. WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND, BROWNING AUTO, BROWNING WHITE GOLD MEDALION OR REMINGTON 700 BOLT

In general the autos are not as accurate as bolts. However, the average shooter will never see the benefits. What is the problem with the BLR? What kind of groups are you shooting? Have you tried different loads? What are your shooting conditions? Are you SURE you are not flinching?

My personal preference is a bolt action, unless I'm hunting bear or boar.(something that could eat me)

Cost considerations aside, my own rule of thumb is if you're shooting at under 800 yards, a semi auto will do fine. 800-1200, I'd use a bolt action. Too far past that, I'd use a .50.

But that's just me, and even I often break this rule due to costs.

I had a Browning BAR in .338 Win Mag. It would shoot 1-1/4" inch groups with my handloads. I like the BAR and it shoots very well.

    My .02

The Brownings are available with teh BOSS system right, so that takes out the accuracy potential question...

The auto will reduce/change the recoil, assuming you keep the caliber the same.
