I was/am looking into a ppsh build, because they are pretty cool looking, the kits are cheap and so are the mags and 7.62x25 ammo isnt bad.

I thing the real hard part about the build is the FCG. I guess its pretty....time consuming. I think theres some milling involved too.

That might have been the one where you can use a SKS FCG but the parts count issue may be a problem there.

Good luck, post anything interesting about this build you come across.

I've been looking at that, too. But, I have reservations:

    1) I don't know anyone who has said "I've built one."
    2) I haven't held a parts kit in my hands.
    3) I haven't held a receiver in my hands.
    4) I haven't seen an opinion letter on ATF letterhead stating that guns built on a specific receiver are legal. (In the past, folks trusting a manufacturer's claim that a particular gun was legal got a visit from the fellas with the bulges in the cheap suits.)

I'm not going to get $500 into a project before I know/see more than I have.
