I just found out about these rifles. If you are talking about the firearms and not airguns. They were made from 1959 to 1965 by BSA. It seems like there are a few different series made. A guy I work with brought me a gun to fix 2 weeks ago and it happens to be a BSA Majestic series. It is a very nice rifle, but I have not had a chance to fire it yet.

The gun holds very well, is light and handy. If I can find one in .243 I will buy it.

Doing a web search on BSA will pull up a few threads on it.

I had one in 30-06, it was very nice and a good shooter. BSA is the same company that makes motorcycles.

I have a BSA U9 in 300 win mag that I bought when I was home on leave befor going to Viet Nam, it has killed more elk than you could haul on a semi, and still shoots under 1 moa. Paid $150.00 for it, brand new with a four power Swift scope and a box of shells. Herters imported them. It's had a 3-9 Redfield Widefield on it for twenty some years, and they ain't never printed enough money to buy it.
    For what it's worth.

Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) has been around for a VERY long time - founded in 1861. You can read about them at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Small_Arms_Company

BSA are top quality made rimfire sporting and target rifles as well as centrefire rifles and I think shotguns. I've got a late 50's vintage Featherweight 243 with besa muzzle break. It is superbly accurate and very light. I would never part with it. I'll post some pics if you want just let me know and give me time to work out how to do it.

They also are famous for the manufacture of Martini actions and rifles. I have a BSA Hunter, a high quality 22 Hornet bolt rifle from 1954, sort of a miniture mauser. Shoots lights out.
