I've heard good and bad things about these guns. I have a chance to buy one but not sure what to look for. It looks to be in great shape. Any help would be good. Thanks

If it says IMBEL on the reciever, or made in Canada, I say buy it as it was built on a very good kit and used good quality Brazilian or Argentinian receivers. I have one built on an IMBEL and love it.

All about the reciever. There are gear logo Imbel, unlogo'd Imbel, and Century made.

Mine is a Century made and its metric pattern (most of these seem to be inch/l1a1 pattern), and is fine except the mag well is a bit tight and the reciever is a hair too short for a scope mount that fits on real belgian and a friends DCI no problems.

All really boils down to when Century "made" it... and what kind of buzz the angry beavers had going on.... inspect it, shoot it if you have a chance, etc.

I bought a used Century Arms last year and am extremely pleased with it. I know some have bought these and had problems, but mine works beautifully and groups around 2-21/2 inches at 100 yards using a 4X scope.
