I have 3 revolvers I am planning on listing in the local newspaper, but I have no idea what they are worth. I've done a little research online, but with no luck. The first one is a Ruger Blackhawk .357 with a 4.5" barrel. It looks almost just like item 8337950, but the barrel is shorter. I also have a Smith and Wesson holster for this gun. The second one is a ROSSI .38 special, 6 shot, with a 4" barrel. Stamped on the right side below the cylinder is "Made in Brasil, Interarms, Alexandria, Virgina" Stamped on the left side of the barrel is "Amadeo Rossi S.A., Aso Leopoldo R.S. and I have a Jordan holster for this gun. The third gun is a Smith and Wesson .38, 6 shot with, a 4" barrel. Stamped on the right side of the barrel is "38 S. & W. Special CTG." I have a Don Hume holster for this gun. All of the gun have been shot recentyl, and all work properly. I have pictures, but I will have to e-mail them because I do not know how to get them online.

Someone sent me an e-mail asking if the Ruger had 3 screws on the side of it. This gun does have the 3 screws, does that make it worth more?

Here are the pics of the guns. Also it does click 4 times when you pull the hammer back.

Your Ruger is definitely a "3 screw" model and since it clicks 4 times when cocking that indicates it has not been sent back to the factory.

It was manufactured in 1971 would bring $300 - $500 depending on the condition - unless I down load them I can only see thumbnails of the pictures you posted and emailed me.

The S&W is almost certainly a model 10. Look under the crane for a 10-X:

If you don't find a model number there it makes it a pre-model 10 aka Military & Police Model. Run-of-the-mill 4" model 10's bring from $150 used to mabye as much as $275 if as new w/ box & papers.

    W.D.

I guess I should edit befor I post.

You can edit before AND after you post by selecting the button at the top of your post that looks like a piece of paper with a pencil across it on the diagonal. It also helps to use the preview button before using the posting button.

    Best.

Ruger Blackhawk, .357 Mag. Old Model, 3 screw, protected sight, unconverted. 4-5/8" barrel. 1971 vintage. could have the wrong grips unless your gun has a very late ship date. The silver eagle grips with the SR came out in 1972. Prior to that it was a black eagle with no SR. The straight face on the hammer indicates it is unconverted, a stepped hammer for the transfer bar safety update.

I'm with HenryOR on price. Around $400 + or - some.

That S&W should not have a model number inside the crane. It is a M&P,pre model 10, the picture shows the big screw at the top of the side cover. It should be a five screw with another screw in the front of the trigger guard. It might also have a five inch barrel.

Use the little yellow "picture" dealy in the posting window, it's the yellow one, 4th from the right. It will bring up {img}url here{/img} and type or copy the link in between the imgage tags.
