what is the difference between 1913 rails and picatiney rails? i have always read about them but i am not familiar with the diff if there is one. pics would help

Same thing as far as I know...the M1913 is just nomenclature for the Piccatiny rail.

that is kinda what i figured.

but ya never know.

follow on question, are there other types of rails other than picatiney/1913 type
