A friend of mine just aquired a nearly mint condition Mark 1 from 1956. I have seen it and it appears to still have the factory grease in it. I know having the serial number and all helps in placeing a value on such things, but if somebody has a ballpark idea it would be helpfull. If it's worth a dime he has made money on it. Get this. He got it for sharpening a knife. It checked out with PD. Why can't I find these things ?? Don't it just make you sick ? Does me. Anyway, any info would be great.
    Thanks

The first firearm I ever bought, was a Mark I. It was the one of the uncommon 5 1/4" ( tapered barrel ) versions. If his is similar? in the condition you describe, quite a bit of money. Find out if he also got the original box, with all the stuff that came in it? Really be the icing on the cake.
