Okay so I got this auction running...http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=224801939

And I got this email asking if it will fit a colt series 70 mk4.. I believe it will, with proper fitting of the swinging link. Is this right???

I just picked up a Caspian compact model in stainless from a friend. The barrel says "CUSTOM 45 ACP" on the top of the bore. Can anyone tell me who manufactured this barrel? This gun is in beautiful condition and I am figuring I got a deal at $800, seeing as there is one just like it on this sight for $1500. Any ideas on the barrel?

Hello I have used Caspian frames and slides to build match guns and used Kart or Barsto barrels but I think now Caspian will sell a complete pistol go to their web site if this does not get you the answer call Brownells and ask for tech dept. I have never seen this exact script on any barrel but there are a host of aftermarket barrels for sale .

Contact perryshooter! Make sure and tell him Garth from the boards informed you to do so! He is a camp perry match shooter and in IMHO knows everthing about 1911 style weapons especially Caspian! Sounds to me like you stole it for that price!

Great thanks...I checked Caspian's site and they only had two barrels that they sell. I don't know much about 1911's but I did know that alot of people that have Caspians buy the slides and receivers and build them themselves.
