Is there a way to make a single action to a double, Don't have any particular gun in mind but was pondering this question out of curiosity

-I think he knows there are DA pistols available.
He's asking a theoretical question. I didn't know Seecamp (and others) had done M1911 conversions. I just did a Google search on "M1911 double action conversion" and got a lot of information. By the way, I learned that Seecamp sued Para and Glock for patent infringement regarding the da design.
Good question.
I don't think it was the DA design that Seecamp sued P.O. on and certainly not Glock. Seecamp sued for infringement of the Seecamp Spring Extendor patent; the dual recoil spring with telescoping coupler setup seen on several excessively shortened pistols. P.O. and Glock infringed on the patent. There are others using the design but I don't know who paid for a licesnse and who just waited for the patent to expire.
