DO A COMPLETED AUCTION SEARCH FOR THIS SPECIFIC ITEM.

DO IT OVER THE LAST 90 DAYS AT GB OF THOSE AUCTIONED AND MAYBE EVEN SOLD.

LOOK AT THE TWO PAGES WORTH OF COLT .25'S SOME IN ABOUT THE SAME CONDTION AS THE ONE YOU ARE COMPAIRING TO AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT THE CURRENT MARKET PRICE IS FOR THESE PISTOLS...

FAIR MARKET VALVE IS WHAT FOLKS PAY FOR ANY ITEM, NOT WHAT THE BOOK OR EXPERTS THINK IT SHOULD SELL FOR....

    Blue Book says:

    80% - $225
    70% - $200
    60% - $155

...If your not an FFL and in "it" for the money (buy/resale) forget the Bluebook. The Bluebook does not take into account the collectability of Colt's, an 03 VP Colt in 80% condition for $225 is a good example of exactly that. The going rate depending on a LOT of variables will be between $200 and $500, and some higher; and good luck in finding a solid example close to the low end...[;)]
