Leaking buffered buckshot loads

I have some 3 inch #4 buckshot that is supposed to be buffered but the buffering granules are leaking. Should I shoot it or not? Will it pattern differently than the nonleaking shells? Can it cause damage to my barrel/shotgun?

I am using a Benneli SBE2.

Also, should I use a full choke or modified or... ? I realize that I need to pattern the load/gun combo. I will be shooting it at coyote/bobcats/foxes.

    Yes, you can shoot that ammo and it will not damage your shotgun. It may perform differently than ammo that still has the buffering material in it.

    The use of buffering granules is a fairly new process in the history of shotgun ammo. I have shot lots of the older non-buffered buckshot and still have a lot of it and I have not noticed any big differences between the two with respect to patterning.

    Use a glue gun to put a dab of glue over the hole in the center of the crimp so that the small plastic buffer material won't leak out.
