? H&R .410 SG to a small cal. rifle?

Can a OLD H&R 1906 .410 shotgun have a small caliber rifle .22 .22mag, barrel to replace the sg barrel SAFELY??

    If your shotgun is in working order, then, maybe, an insert is your answer:

    With an insert, you can keep your gun looking original, and remove the insert to make it a shotgun, again.

    Possible- but food for thought. SAAMI pressure specs for .22 LR= 24,000 psi. SAAMI spec for 2.5 inch .410 = 12,500 psi. You can use an insert, but you will still have pressure exerted against the face of the action. You would have trouble simply putting a barrel on there, since the FP is in the wrong place.
