Auction Recommendation

Hi. I am in the process of selling off most of my hunting guns and trying to get down to 1 shotgun, 1 pistol and 1 slug gun. The next gun I plan on putting up for auction is my Remington 870 that has a sling, 2 barrels and a scoped Hasting slug barrel. My question is should I try and auction this off as a "package" or am I better off to sell the 870 with 1 barrel and sell the other barrel and slug barrel separately? Thanks In advance

Some people may or may not want the scope. There are a million reasons why. They might have their own, might want better quality, etc. Therefore, I'd sell the Hastings barrel seperate and offer the scope to the buyer for a flat fee. State this in the auction.

I'd sell the 870 with the smoothbore barrel on it along with any chokes you have (if barrel is screw in choke type)

If you sell them in a package, I would only assume that you restrict your market to those who are looking for both barrels. If you sell seperate, you'll appeal to everyone on both sides of the fence.

At least, that's what I'd do. But I could be wrong. It's happened before [:D]

The sum of the parts is nearly always greater than the whole

I agree with this plus would add that you should state in the auction with the gun that you are selling the 2nd barrel and what it is so folks will know about it , make it easy for them to find just in case they are interested in both , also that if the same party buys both that you are willing to work on shiping costs
