How to find out markings on a rifle?

I have an old 22 I believe. The markings are a circle with the letters F at the top L G under it and a star at the bottom. There is also a star with a E under it and the letters PW on down the barrel. I would appreciate any help on this one

If you look more closely, the "F" at the top is more likely an "E". "ELG" indicates Belgian origin.

Pictures are necessary but you may have what's referred to as a "Flobert" parlor rifle.

I currently have it apart and doing some work on it. The hammer is off to the right. I am in need of a firing pin for this and front sight.

If you check the parts bins at some of the large gun shows, or take a chance when you see something close on the Gunbroker auctions, you might be able to find parts that can be modified to fit. There's no place to order the exact replacement parts you need for really old European guns that were often hand fitted by a cottage industry.
