Beretta 470 vs 471EL

I'm searching for a well made classic looking SxS, that will handle steel shot if need be. Is there any mechanical difference in the Beretta 470 vs 471EL, other than cosmetic?

The difference is basically cosmetic. The 470 is the basic gun. The 470 model does NOT come with the side plates.

The 471 EL is the 'upper' gun. This gun features sideplates as well as color-case hardening finish. Gold enlays. I comes ONLY in Straight Stock/ Splinter forend.

Thanks for the info, I noticed some of the 470s had color-case hardening finish, but I had to look up each gun to find out what the side plates where. I definitely like the traditional looks of the side plates. Now to see if I can find one at a reasonable price.
