I have a question, who made this rifle and how much in good condition. Everywhere I look, i can't find this gun.

    It is a Winchester Model 70 made specifically for Sears & Roebuck.

    There are probably a 1/2 dozen websites that have a list of crossover manufacturers.

    I just took a quick look at the Hoosier Gunworks list and this is what was in their database:

    I don't do evaluations and most of the folks here will want to see photographs in order to determine condition. So if you can post some quality photos of the entire rifle and detail photos of the action and barrel, you might get a pretty good idea.

    Cool. It is a Model 53 that is what I do not understand.
    the model 53 was only offered in .243 .270 .308 .30-06
    not .300 win mag!
    I will post pics when get done cleaning it.

    i just bought a sears 300. win mag can anyone tell me anything about it and the ammo i should use ?
