Ball park value of my P. Beretta Gardone...

I inherited a P. Beretta Gardone v.t. 1936-XIV. It seems to be in great condition, and it hasn't had much use. I have found no indications of the value of it, and i really need to sell it as soon as i can to help pay some medical bills.

From the information you have provided it seems to be a Italian military, Model 1934 semi-auto pistol.

Here are photos of the Beretta i want to get a value for.
I didn't include a photo of the serial number, cuz i'm not sure if that's a dangerous thing to do...

Condition appears to be about %80 in my view. The $250 to $300 range sounds right to me. I can't see an anchor, so since your pics are pretty good, I'm assuming this is not a Naval issue gun; those are worth likely %25 more. I see a small stamp on the left rear of the frame near the top/back of the grip...perhaps you could take another picture of that area? Can't quite tell what it is.

"R E" underneath Crown on Italian military firearms, denotes the term Regia Esercito, which translates to Royal Army.

Not likely, that's probably the most common Italian military marking found on the wartime Beretta's. The Air Force, Navy and German WaA marked Beretta's would be much more sought after by a collector.

So would you agree with the other guys that $250-300 is reasonable?
Am i safe in assuming that the value range relies on the functionality of the gun?

I guess NOW i really need to know how to sell this and get the most from it (preferably quickly, but the dollar amount is the most important).

I have a Charger Arms .38 Special too. I see that one listed here and there for around $300

Unfortunately due to it's condition, it would be classified as a "shooter" grade Beretta.

The way things are in the toilet with the economy, and so many folks out of work. Ordinary quality guns like the Beretta also the Charter Arms .38 aren't going to be big money makers.

You might utilize the Gun Broker auction to sell them both. Your return will greater then if you sold them to a local gunstore, who would only offer you at most 50 cents on the dollar on what they could sell it for.
