If you have mounted a scope on a Hastings Barrel with the scope tang...

Please reply any lessons learned concerning tips for mounting the scope best. More forward or back on rails? How did it line up with the initial aiming? Much scope adjustments?

Thanks for your opinions...

Going ahead with mount today. From my search it appears the only caveat is to mount the scope back on the tang...

    Thanks!

the "tang" attached to the barrel is supposed to keep the scope aligned with the barrel, so there is no need to worry much about scope/barrel movement, mount a scope as light as possible and set to where you dont have to stretch your neck to get a sight picture.

adjust the scope in the rings back and forth to where it comes naturally to youre eye, make sure the crosshairs a level.

you should always get a full sight picture through the scope in your standard shooting positions. no black spots around the edges.

If you cant get a good picture, you gotta do some more fine tuneing the scope to your body and gun..
