Hello Experts

I was wondering about the Tikka T3 rifle in .308Winchester.
I've been trying to find some specific info on it.

I've found out that the T3 has a 1:11 Rate of twist in .308Win.

What kind of bullet would be best for that Rate of twist.??
(what bulletweight I mean..)

I hope you guys could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Just from some preliminary testing with my T3 in .308 I can tell you 150 gr kicks like a mule and 147gr doesn't at all :)

Doubt that helps you much. I plan to pickup a recoil pad for it to use heaver loads.

I see you have the twist rate. I need glasses.

    HN,

The 11 twist will support the use of 180 grain standard bullets. That essentially eliminates the VLD's and even some of the LD's. The range of 110 to 180 grains is pretty substantial considering the somewhat small case size. Remember to check the seating length or the OAL of the chamber.

    Best.
