Is anyone aware of any scams out of England selling a 1886? I have a chance on a nice one but I do not like shipping money out of the country.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

What your contemplating is not something I would suggest doing unless you are dealing with an established, reputable dealer or the seller is willing to work through one.

Another option is to use an Escrow Service so that the funds are not released until the rifle has cleared Customs, been received and verified as to authenticity.

Contender Man is correct....Cover your Butt....an Escrow Service Account is the way to go with International Sales...Check the Yellow pages for listed Internation Shipping Service's...and give them a call on the phone.....

ASK YOUR SELLER TO SHIP COD.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.
