My dad left me a ranger sp101 double barrel and i'd like to know any info about it,age and/or price range.Looks to be field grade, nothing fancy,in about 90% shape.
Saw one for sale on gunbroker for 325,that seems way high unless this is some kind of rare piece, which i doubt. Gun I have is unusual for lack of markings. Thanks for your help.

"Ranger" seems to be a trade name for a Sears offering. As far as I know the Ranger doubles were either Hunter or Stevens guns. The main difference between them is a slightly differing design of the frame.

Both are good guns, but neither hold any great value to a collector. My guess is that at $300.00 the gun had better be in pretty nice shape and a 20 ga. to boot. Don't know if .410's were ever on the plate.
