Rem. 1100 SP Deer Value & Barrel Options

Saw a realy nice Remington 1100 Special Purpose Deer Gun (Synthetic stock, cantilever barrel, Tasco Bantam Scope) last night at a gun shop. I have an 11-87 pretty much just like it and I guess I have a weakness for these guns. Is the 1100 version a relatively new model and about how much is one worth (my books don't list it)? I assume the gun isn't new but I couldn't see anything with the condition of the gun to detract from 'new' condition.
The dealer had it marked for $430. The kids are getting older & I don't want to have to give up my 11-87.................
Also, this gun is matte finished. Are there 1100 barrels available -other than deer barrels - in matte finish? All that I've seen have been blued.
I was thinking of buying this gun, changing barrels and shooting trap with it until the kids are ready to hunt deer with it. But if no matte barrls are out there, it might look a little funky with a blued barrel.
