I just picked up this rifle and am trying to ID it. I cannot find anything on the net as far as what it is - caliber or value if any. I uploaded some links to pics and would appreciate any info that you may provide.

Vetterli M1870/87/15. These weapons were converted to 6.5x52 Carcano in 1915 by the insertion of a rifled liner in the old 10.35mm barrel. the magazine of the Model 1891 Carcano was added, and the bolt head modified to take the 6.5mm cartridge. Value Wise....$150.00

Your rifle is a Model 1870-87-15, Italian Vetterli-Vitali Rifle.

It was first adopted as a single shot chambered for the 10.35 x 47R black powder cartridge in 1870.

In 1887 it was retrofitted with a (4) shot magazine.

In 1915 it was reworked to take the the Model 1891, 6.5 x 52mm smokeless Italian Military cartridge.
