I'm thinking seriously of buying this gun in the very near future. Question is, do I go with a conventional cross-hair type scope or maybe a red-dot....not being framiliar with red-dot I need to know advantages and disadvantages....most shooting will be strictly for pleasure and maybe a critter every once in awhile.

I've tried two red dots....I dont like them. Not near as accurate as a scope. Just a red dot on the page that shakes all over the place and is hard to know where center is. With cross hairs...you know.

if you are going to shoot paper them use a scope , if you going to hunt or blast rocks, cans, bottels ect, use a reddot .. Reddots are not as accurate as a scope on paper but sure are alot easier to use in the field

As bolt thrower says plus it is meant for fast sighting in fast paced and or low light conditions. As g.hawk too in that not every one's eyes like 'em. More like a shot gun bead type thing. You get accurate enough. The further the distance the wider the 'accuracy'.
