Ohio Concealed Carry Courses

Lots of courses being advertised in NE Ohio since the recent passage of our CC bill. Typical cost is $100. Any better deals in the Warren/Cortland area?

For you non-Ohioans, it's a 12-hour course with ten hours of classroom and two hours of shooting.

    Not really. The further West you come the higher the cost until you get well past Cleveland and even in Lorain they are $125-135.

    Sellers market right now, expect prices to be down after first year or so.

    I paid $100 in NW Ohio. I went it just wanting that certificate, you know, and really learned a lot. Try to pick a quality course, not just for the price!

    Contact ; mikemckenney@hotmail.com He's teaching them at A&A rifle club in Nelson {off 422 east of Nelson Ledges State Park. The classes are $125.00... I finished mine up this morning in Bloomfield, Price was $55.00 but that was locked in a while ago when the law first passed. Prices are higher now. Great instructors, I would recomend them to anyone!

    Thanks for the info. I live in Cortland so Bloomfield and Nelson are pretty close.

    Too bad my 30 years of military annual small arms training don't satisfy the requirement. Of course, part of the training is to learn the Ohio law (when to shoot).
