What do you all think of the model 50? I looked at one in a local shop, 20 gauge 28" modified, couldn't believe how light it was for an auto. Any pros or cons on this model? Anything I should check for before buying one?
Thanks

My questions: Doesn't this grade usually have engraving? This one has none??
I would appreciate someone offering a value range as I have described it. Sorry, do not have pictures and I know that would make it easier!! Sorry.
Thanks
Thanks for response,

Can anyone point me to a source, or give us all a write-up, about the Model 50? It seems to have been made for only a few years. Any comments about reliability, robustness, quirks?
Thanks.
The pictures I've seen of other model 50 were of plain no engraved bodies and stocks. Is this some sort of special edition or custom work? My father bought this back in the late 50's or early 60's and he is deseased, so I can't ask him. I can take some pictures if needed. And NO it won't be for sale!

Thank you in advance for any information I can give him.

If your shooting stance is good, you're probably not moving fast enough or using cover correctly
How can I tell if the closing spring is weak or okay? Where would I be able to purchase a new one or one that is okay? Maybe Bobski or only Winchester can help with this issue.
used but cared for(good condition or better)
