Hi, my dad was given a 22cal 6 shooter/revolver, it was given to him by a friends grandma, so I asume it is old. It is an Omega Model 100 made in Germany it has a 1 and a half to two inch barrel, but I cannot find it on the internet to find out what it is worth.

We will need to know all of the markings on the revolver. Describe the proof marks as best you can. Why do you think that it was manufactured in Germany?

My reference show that the revolver was made by the German firm of Gerstenberger & Eberwein. Many were sold using the "EM-GE Model 100" Trade Name. The revolver would date probably to the 1960's time frame, before the enactment of GCA 68. It will have dated German proof marks on it. Unfortunately it's not worth a lot of money, sold in the 60's, new in the $30-$40 range. Not worth much more then that nowadays. My 2?.

Good Morning Jacob: Looked into My database and find that there were Two (2) German Companys that used the OMEGA Trade Name....It should be very easy to settle which one made the little Pistol in question...
    1. Omega, Trade Name used by Gerstenberger & Eberwein on revolvers with "drop-out" cylinder...
#2.OMEGA, Trade name used by Herman Weihrauch Sportwaffenfabrik on revolvers with "swing-out" cylinders....Both German Companys and most likely a Starter Pistol....It will have to be looked at by a professional Gunsmith to be certain....These little revolvers are made from Cast Metal and are for the most part, safe for firing Blanks....but can be dangerous if You try to shoot Live .22 Ammo.....
And I'd like to Welcome You to the Ask the Experts Forum and becoming a member of the <gunbroker.com> family.....best......Captain Kirk

There was also an outfit in Eibar Spain that used the Omega name, that was why I asked what made him think that it was German made.[:)]

It says made in Germany on the side of the barrel it does not have a "drop out" cylander. It has a tiny emblem that is five sided with something in the middle coming out but it is so small that I cannot tell what it is, by the emblem is a tiny "N" or "Z" I can't tell because I don't know which way the emblem is facing. The numbers 82243 are on the cylander and the barrel. It says Omega Model 100 above the cylander.
