I have just been given a H. Weihrauch stainless .22lr 8-shot revolver. Says "HW 7" on left side. The barrel says "F.I.E. MIAMI, FLA" on the right side. "Made in Germany" is on the right side above the trigger. Is it worth anything?

They ( Weihrauch Revolvers ) were imported by F.I.E. prior to them, ( F.I.E.'s ) going out of business in the early 1990's.

It should have a German Proof Marks and Proof Date on it.

It's probably plated, or polished down to bare metal. To the best of my knowledge they never made them in stainless.

Although passable quality, they never sold for big bucks. Your probably looking at between $100 & $200, "IF" operable?

the frame is grayish-blue. The barrel is shiny silver. An engraving of a profile of a bearded man is on the left of the frame. I don't see any dates, but there is a circle with a "W" isude it on the left side of the barrel and the frame. The cylinder has "7737" stamped on the front. It shots fine. Where would I find a date stamp?

These were made by Hans Herman Weihrauch of Melrichstadt, West Germany It was blued, with walnut grips. They did not manufacture any in stainless steel. It should have a 6 inch barrel.

Value is ~$50, acccording to the Standard Catalog of Firearms.
