I inherited two Colt Blackpowder pistols when my Father passed away. I would sure appreciate any help identifying them and approximately what they are worth.
The first is a Colt 3rd Model Dragoon F1740 according to the outside box. It is engraved with what appears to be a battle b/t US Cavalry and Indians. The serial number is 35545. It is in Mint condition.
The second is a Colt engraved with a Navy battle. It also is engraved with "Engaged 16 May 1843". Serial # 4333. It is not in mint condition, has some rust marks on the cylinder.
I have not been able to add images to this post so I put some pictures on a photobucket accout. Here is the link. Any help would be much appreciated.
