Servens Model 44 .22LR

Will someone please advise if Model designation is inscribed on this rifle and if so where located. Thanks for your help.

    If you meant to say "STEVENS" Model 44,the model # is not on the gun.

    At least it's not on mine or any others that I have seen.

    Hello Dr J. no the model number is not marked on the frame Be aware that stevens made many models of single shot actions . the 22long rifle in many of them Stevens also made centerfire rifles both on the 44 and 44&1/2 model the 44&1/2 is much stronger I would advise you try to find a copy of Fladermans guide to antique firearms . I will be able to tell if you post a picture.

    Gentlemen, thank you for your quick reply and it helps to know that the Model designation is not inscribed on the Stevens 44.
