I tried to buy a pistol that I won on Gunbroker over a year ago and bidpay refused me when they found out it was a gun.that was my first and last experiance with them.Tom

I went to use them once but they wanted too much. I ended up getting a cashiers check from my bank.

Are you sure it was Bidpay? The last time I checked Bidpay was being used specifically because they will cover firearms sales.
However, I see that on their website: http://www.bidpay.com/ That they were purchased by cybersource in 2006. That is since I last tried to use them. If I needed to know if I could use them to pay for a firearm won at auction I would have to register with them...not going to happen.
