Accepting that the .32 has limitations and is the bare bones minimum for defense, there are 2 rounds of thinking on this.

    1. Use a good hollow point like Speer Gold Dots to get the most out of the little round.

    2. At the velocity and power we're talking about, the hollow point won't open up and won't penetrate far enough; use ball ammo. In this case any commercial .32 ammo should be fine.

Personally I stagger them in my mag.

Glasers or maybe winchester silvertips. Both expensive, but buy a couple boxes of each and make sure it functions fine iwht them before counting on them.

For self defense in .32 cal I would recommend only the Silvertip. It is a proven perfomer.

+1 on the silvertip. I have carried many a 32 with them. The published ballistics are very good on this round in this caliber.

I have Speer Gold Dots in my Walther. They perform rather well.

I second and third the Winchester Silvertips. They work great in both the Kel-Tec 32 and the P3AT 380. I carry both and only use silvertips. Same in my Seecamp 32.

They also have the added benefit of stopping werewolves dead in their tracks![:0][:0]

Silver tips at our local Wal-Mart are only $10 to $12 a box of 50 whn they have them. I buy them to carry and shoot at the range when there are no Gold dots for carry or FMJ to be found for plinking.

$10 - $12 for Silver Tip when they have them...that must have been in 1978, 'cause they're closer to $30 now.

Any quality round will do. Select a round you can get a steady supply of so you can practice. Gold Dot, Silver Tip, Cor Bon are all dependable ammo
