HK Mark 23

I have a chance to buy one of these for $1,000.

The price sounds to good to be true from the prices I've seen on the auctions. I'm thinking of buying this gun through a friend of his who I know personally. Supposedly this has a silencer with it, but I'm pretty sure it's only a fake suppressor.

But if it is a silencer can I buy the gun and then pay the $200 tax stamp?
Any other information on this gun would be appreciated.

I am looking at purchasing a new 23 and wondered if it would be a wiser purchase to buy a 2004 NIB green/tan model with the camo bag or a new black one that comes in a plastic case? Thanks for your help!

get him to sell you the gun, if it is a real suppressor you will have to find a deal in your state to transfer it

That's pretty low...used ones are usually about $500 more...let alone the supressor, if real. You may want to check the polymer for signs of melting...[}:)]...or, make sure it's not a USP Tactical...1K is a bit on the high side for one of those.

And, afaik, taking posession of a real supressor before you have the tax stamp is a good ol' felony. The upside is, I've heard Leavenworth is downright pretty this time of year...
