I would like to know what is a fair price to ask for a brand new BDL stock since I'm getting another one custom fitted for my son. My gunsmith says he might have someone interested right now.

    Late-Bloomer,

I have seen NIB (really) BDL asking prices from $50.00 to $200.00 from various sources. I wish I could have sold all of the ones I had at one point for $200 bucks! But as everyone here points out, let the market set the price. Check the GB auctions that are finished, check Shotgun News, check some of the other gun sites that have classifieds. Ask your gunsmith what his customer want to pay. If it's too low, negotiate or move on.

    Best.

Hello this is a sellable item I would not let it go for anything less then $100.00 and would ask $150.00 my other suggestion is on some of my custom stocked guns I keep the factory stock and when your son grows or if his or your hunting trip is in bad conditions Rain season or mountain climbs[xx(][xx(] to avoid damage to nice piece of wood I put the factory stock back on the gun[:D]

check e-bay,..they usually only bring about $30-$60 for the wood stock, BDL version. Factory wood, unless laminated or high grade walnut from a safari/custom/supergrade model will bring very little.
