depends on the appraiser and the gun. a .410 single shot can be appraise in < 1 min. by any one here, a special order win. 1886 may take months and a letter fron cody.

Hello if you post good detail pictures along with your question on this forum there is no charge.Their are some very knowledgeable people on this site . Now if you need a writen appraisal then you would have to check with one of the experts like BERT H on Winchesters. If you want to see what your gun is worth do a smart search on the closed auctions on this site.

Contact Jim Supica at Old Town Station, he is a good guy and should be able to let you know all about appraisals.

When I do an actual written appraisal on a Winchester, I charge a flat $20 fee (which includes a copy of the factory ledger information if it exists). If you have a Model 1885, it is free[^].

Ha ha ha... NO, it does not. Get off your duff and bring the gun to one of the Big Reno guns shows (table 83-B)[:0][;)]

Beware ANY appraiser that charges a percentage of the appraised value. I ain't saying that folks that do that are crooked, but can't think of a better reason to inflate the appraised value. Just my opinion.
